Summary
Model Room is available on Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest. On both platforms the app runs entirely on your device. It does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal information about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no servers of ours for the app to talk to. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the application.
Information We Collect
None. Model Room contains no user account system, no analytics or telemetry SDK, no advertising SDK and no crash-reporting service. We receive no information about you, and we hold no database of users on either platform.
What the App Stores on Your Device
Every curve, surface, molecule, planet, organ and star in the app is built into the application itself and is read from your device. Model Room stores your current selection and display preferences locally so the app opens where you left it. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted anywhere, and is removed if you delete the app. The Quest version does not save any map or anchor of your room between launches: the model is placed in front of you each time the app opens.
Meta Quest: App Ownership Check
On Meta Quest, the app performs one platform call at launch: it asks Meta Horizon Platform services whether the signed-in Meta account is entitled to use Model Room. This is an ownership check that the Meta Horizon Store requires of every app, and it is handled by Meta's own software.
The app does not read your Meta profile, display name, friends, or any other account information, and it does not store, transmit or log the result of that check anywhere outside your device. Model Room has no leaderboards, no multiplayer, no social features and no user-generated content. Meta's handling of your data is covered by Meta's Privacy Policy.
Purchases
Apple Vision Pro. Model Room offers a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the full catalogue. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, see or store your payment details, and we receive no information that identifies you personally. The app asks Apple whether the purchase has been made and shows the corresponding content; nothing about that check leaves your device except through Apple's own systems. Apple's handling of your data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Meta Quest. The Quest version has no in-app purchases and no subscription. The whole catalogue is open from the first launch, and the app is bought once on the Meta Horizon Store. Payment is handled entirely by Meta; we do not receive, see or store your payment details.
Hand Tracking, Controllers and Spatial Data
Model Room uses the hand-tracking, controller-tracking and spatial APIs provided by Apple visionOS or Meta Horizon OS — eyes and hands on Apple Vision Pro, the Touch controllers on Quest — so you can point at the catalogue and turn the model. This data is processed locally by the operating system and the app, is used only in the moment to move and select things, and is never recorded, uploaded or shared by us.
Camera and Environment
Apple visionOS and Meta Horizon OS composite the app's content with your real surroundings to produce the mixed-reality view. The app does not have access to the raw camera feed or to a scan of your room, and it does not store any imagery of your environment.
Network Communications
The catalogue is compiled into the app, so Model Room works entirely offline and downloads no content at runtime. On Apple Vision Pro the only network traffic is Apple's own App Store purchase check. On Meta Quest it is the Meta Horizon Platform ownership check described above. Neither reaches any server of ours, because there is none.
Third-Party Services
Model Room does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting service. The only platform services it uses are Apple's StoreKit on visionOS and Meta Horizon Platform's entitlement check on Quest.
Data Deletion Requests
We store no data about you, on any server, so there is nothing for us to delete. Deleting the app removes the preferences it kept on your device. Children's Privacy
Model Room does not collect information from anyone, including children. The app contains no user-generated content, no messaging and no external links other than those on this page. On the Meta Horizon Store it is rated for teens and adults.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and, where significant, called out in the relevant store update notes.
