UltraRes is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or user data. The app operates entirely on your local device.
Data Processing
All video upscaling is performed locally on your Mac using Apple's Neural Engine. Your video files are:
- Processed entirely on your device
- Never uploaded to any servers
- Never shared with third parties
- Only accessed by the app with your explicit permission through file selection
AI Model
The Real-ESRGAN super-resolution model runs entirely on-device via CoreML. No data is sent to external AI services or cloud APIs. All inference happens locally on your Mac's Neural Engine, GPU, and CPU.
File Access
The app only accesses files that you explicitly select through the macOS file picker or drag-and-drop. We do not scan, access, or monitor any other files on your system.
Data Storage
UltraRes does not store any user data, preferences, or file information beyond the current session. When you close the app, no data is retained.
Network Communications
The app does not connect to the internet or communicate with any external servers. All functionality is available offline.
Third-Party Services
UltraRes does not integrate with or use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.
Children's Privacy
Our app does not collect any information from users of any age. It is safe for use by children under parental supervision.
Changes to Privacy Policy
Any changes to this privacy policy will be reflected in app updates and on this page. We will notify users of significant changes through the App Store update notes.
